Questions will be answered by Professor John E Cooper DTVM FRCPath FSB CIBiol FRCVS, who is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Pathologists and a European Veterinary Specialist Zoological Medicine.  John trained as a veterinary surgeon and is now a specialist pathologist, with particular interests in wildlife and exotic species, tropical diseases and comparative medicine.

John and his wife have lived and worked in a number of countries. They have spent nearly ten years living in Africa, including a period in Rwanda with the mountain gorillas. In 2009 they returned from seven years working in Trinidad and Tobago and they are now based in Britain.

John has had a lifelong interest in natural history and has kept birds and other animals since he was a child. He has been associated with Haith’s for many years and was responsible for introducing a QC programme, using microscopical and other laboratory techniques.
