Haith's Cage & Aviary Helpline

Wednesday, 18th March 2020

Today, we're opening our Haith's Cage & Aviary Helpline on the freephone number 0800 298 7054 - we're here (as we have been since 1937) to help your birds stay healthy and we're going to double our efforts to help you stay connected with the outside world should you find yourself feeling isolated due to coronavirus.
Haith's Cage & Aviary helpline

Our customer services and helpline team intend to stay at work for as long as possible, but we're monitoring closely the government's guidance and colleagues are equipped to work from home should the situation worsen. These are challenging days, but there's one thing for certain - we're all in this together. And together we can work miracles.

However, we're going to have to work together to keep seed flowing during the coronavirus crisis. Our thoughts go out to all who will be affected by unprecedented events and I want to reassure you that we’ll continue to do everything in our power to ensure you can continue to shop for your essential bird diets with us safely.

We are experiencing high demand for our bird diets and we’ll do whatever it takes to keep a range of everyday essentials available. To do this sustainably, however, I’ve refined, consolidated, and simplified our entire range of bird foods. Doing this will keep the flow of seed efficient and sustainable and allows up to plan for the worst – but hope for the best. We aim to be with you every step of this crisis.

We are an essential provider of bird diets to pet bird-keepers, bird-breeders, zoos and – of course – garden bird enthusiasts and we are committed to helping the nation’s ‘armchair naturalist’ beat the coronavirus isolation and stay connected through nature, which is why we launched our Haith’s Helpline on 0800 298 7054. Our team is fully prepared to work from home and we’ll be monitoring the government’s advice. FedEx and Royal Mail will continue to deliver our goods and do so in a safe manner.

Why launch a Haith's Cage & Aviary Helpline?

Hearing at the weekend that every Briton over the age of 70 will be told within the coming weeks to stay at home for an extended period to protect themselves from coronavirus is an alarming thought; however, we want to let you know that we're here to support you with a friendly phone call (whatever your age!) and we'll - of course - continue to do our level best to keep bird food supplies arriving at your doorstep. We're committed to getting essential birds seeds through to Britain's bird-keepers!

The best place to stay informed and connected is www.haiths.com and our social media channels:

Feel free to stay in touch – we’re here to help.

Simon King's upbeat and positive message to bird-keepers is a reminder that "isolation" in your home is a wonderful opportunity to spend more time with your birds . As good fanciers know, observing cage and aviary birds is time well-spent and provides an opportunity to check their health and condition. And to enjoy them, at leisure!

Haith's customer services:

Thanks for that supportive message and excellent point about checking health and condition.
