The Big Red Carp Fishing Blog
We are proud and honoured to have so many of the World's major bait firms as customers and all the top names in the bait trade use at least one of our products (in fact it is usually half a dozen or more). Our flagship product, one that identifies us, is Robin Red - if Carlsberg did carp bait!
As I have detailed before in these carp fishing blogs, you can increase the shelf life of the carp baits we made in part 1, by using Glycerin. At the same time, you can boost the flavour attraction by adding your preferred flavour to the Glycerin itself.
There's a NEW Robin Red® (UK/EU) from Haith's which contains a natural colourant rather than a non-feed-permitted synthetic dye. It creates a less vivid but more natural red colour in finished baits which contain it when compared to the original Robin Red® which remains available for hook baits and 'lures.'
Carrying on with my tests of the supernut ground bait turned into boilies. I’ll recount on my last session where I actually caught something, I had left work at 3 pm on the Friday and had already planned the trip the night before.
To pinch a phrase from a mate of mine: it’s blog time! This month I’m going to run through my spomb/spod mixes; everything that goes into these mixes is tried and tested individually, over many years, but when added together they bring a whole new dimension to fishing with particles. Read on and I’ll explain what I mean by that…
Here we are nearing the start of a new year and I find it hard to believe that it is nearly 15 years since I first started working for John E. Haith of Cleethorpes, as it was then. Now it is simply Haith's Ltd and the old premises in Cleethorpes has been replaced by a modern corporate super-HQ and factory in Grimsby.
