Here are a few little wheezes we have come up with over the years that you may have missed so we thought it might be an idea to take another look.
I know it is fashionable to sing the praises of the all-conquering tiger nut these days, but in my opinion - and good though tiger nuts are - I believe peanuts are better. However, I must point out one factor that I consider to be very important, though to be fair, other writers don't!
Carole and I first visited le Queroy in 1998 and have fished there at least once a year ever since. We fell in love with the lake and the Cottage (the accommodation) the first time we clapped eyes on it which is why we keep going back.
There are many ways to catch tench, some specialists will target them in using similar tactics to carp angling but in a scaled down manner, using a double or triplicate of rods, bite alarms, bivvy, bedchair, the whole nine yards as they say.
The long wait of over a year had passed oh so slowly but at last we were back at Le Queroy. After last years impressive visit I was keen to repeat the prescription and fill my boots.
