The Big Red Carp Fishing Blog
Prosecto Insectivorous and Red Factor… Another bright idea from Haith’s Baits!
I have never had the slightest intention of fishing Robert Raduta’s lake in Romania; not even when the press was being flooded with articles and pictures of huge fish caught in true adventure-style conditions, complete with marauding mice, plague dogs, humans bones and gypsy villages.
Hi there, and welcome to my look at what I consider to be some of the best particle baits around. In this article I will give you 1-5, and next month 6-10. Let’s kick off with my top five particle baits with tips on how to prepare them and fish them.
As you will have probably gathered if you have read some of my other contributions to these blogs, I am getting on a bit and have circled the block more than a few times. As the old dog of the title I am always looking to find new tricks to play on the carp as they become increasingly hard to catch as pressure on them grows by the day.
If you look through the catalogues of the main bait companies you will be hard pushed to find many suppliers of essential oils. I find this curious as there was a time when the carp world clamoured for every bit of information about them that there was available, as they were seen as the key to attraction.
I know I have written extensively about paste in the pages of this blog, but I make no apology for doing so again. With the depths of winter now upon us attraction is the name of the game so today I would like to share with you a relatively low cost, yet super-attractive paste.
