Ice cool bird food company bears all for charity

Monday, 1st September 2014

Thank you BIAZA (British & Irish Association of Zoos & Aquariums) for nominating me and thank you Mrs Parratt for nominating the Haith's team. Here's what happened...

Thanks (I think!) to Zara and the BIAZA (British & Irish Association of Zoos & Aquariums) team for nominating me (Simon) for the #IceBucketChallenge and thanks also to Mrs Parratt for nominating the Haith's team.

We opted to take the challenge as a team; however, no-one told me I'd be getting two bucke
ts! I should point out, though, that we don't always dress the way we're dressed in this video - we only dress this way on a Friday! Other days are far less formal. You should drop by and say hello if you're in the area. (You'll save 10% when you shop direct at our factory outlet in Grimsby, N E Lincs, DN37 9TU).

I nominated our good friend Professor John E Cooper, and David Field - Zoological Director at
Zoological Society of London
(David, please blame the BIAZA team).

Others nominated included: Hans - Haka Tackle, Netherlands; Marcin - Massive Carp, Poland; Kelly Smith & Catherine McElroy - Poortman; David & Rachael Haith; Simon King; Geoff and the Sanderson/Elucid team; Hiten Shah and the ENTIRE Paraspar team; Nathan from Townsend Electrical.

Ice bucket team from left to right: Anna, Cap, Jenny, Carl, Simon, Andrea, Bruce & Clair.

Tina (above) would also like to thank Mrs Parratt & BIAZA for nominating Haith's for the #IceBucketChallenge. Tina was leaving work early today so she couldn't take part in the team dunking, but she happily agreed to go solo - good for you, Tina. Her nominations: Bill Oddie and her husband, Chris.

Well done, Tina! You can tell Bill :-)
