Greenfinches fly high up and circle round quivering their wings stiffly in a manner that resembles a bat more than a bird. Pigeons do a lot of strutting and bowing, whilst Great and Blue Tits tend to do most of their posing and dancing close to the hole they may be considering moving into. It is particularly satisfying if they choose a box that you or I have put up specially for them.
