Get ready for International Dawn Chorus Day

Tuesday, 4th April 2017

Sunday 7th May 2017 is International Dawn Chorus Day, the worldwide celebration of nature’s bird song symphony.

Celebrated on the first Sunday of May, the story goes that International Dawn Chorus Day began in the 1980s when broadcaster and environmentalist Chris Baines asked everyone to attend his birthday party at 4am so they could enjoy the dawn chorus with him. Since then IDCD has grown from a small event in Birmingham UK to an annual international celebration with Dawn Chorus events held as far afield as the Caribbean and Antarctica.

We’d love for you to get involved and we’re inviting you to purchase any size bag of Golden Chorus and rise bright and early on the 7th May and to listen and identify which birds can be heard in your area. If this is something you’d consider we’ll ensure that a handy bird I.D poster and an information pack is sent out to you.

Golden Chorus helps attract a wide variety of wild birds to your garden. The enjoyment begins as soon as you open a delicious bag. You will love the aromatic blend of rowan and juniper berries with crumbly moist softfood (which is 100% edible) but the Robins, Wrens, thrushes, Blackbirds plus tits and finches will love it more.

Once you have placed your order please email your order number to enquiries@haiths.com and we will ensure that your free International Dawn Chorus Day pack is sent out to you.

Furthermore, once you’ve submitted your results to us using the form provided, you will then be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a hamper.
