Greenfinch

This is a popular garden visitor and likes to feast on many seed mixes, including black sunflower seeds. They are also very fond of insects too! Garden conifers are their favourite place to nest. The Greenfinch is a truly colourful character showing flashes of green and yellow as it flies. They are sociable but also like to squabble among themselves at bird tables.

They like to live in woodland edges, tall hedges, conifer plantations, orchards, churchyards, parks and gardens - anywhere with tall, fairly dense trees and plenty of seeds and insects. Parks and gardens with evergreen shrubs and a ready supply of bird- table food make them common in towns and villages.

Try feeding Haith’s Native Finch mix and Niger seed. These both contain all the nutrients they need to keep them fit and healthy.
