I am forever in awe of Haiths and that includes - your impeccable (note the careful use of the word impeccable, or perhaps it should be impeckable) service, your staff, in fact EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR COMPANY) leaves me breathless. The pure speed of your service leaves ALL your competitors eating your dust. The goods are so well packed I'm bound to think "why the hell aren't other suppliers following suit'.

Although the sparrows seem to throw the most out, the birds still eat like there’s no tomorrow. Ground feeders pick up the pieces thrown out and only the odd one germinates.

"Popular And No Waste" by anonymous

This product is popular with all the birds including the goldfinches. I am pleased that the bits that drop out are eaten by the groundfeeders and any missed do not germinate.

"This Is Probably Top Of The Menu In Our Garden," by Anon.
12 Jan 2017
A few months ago we built a patio/diner area specifically for the birds (seriously!) as somewhere for them to to eat. At last we have a level lawn and it is beginning to recover from all the wasted seeds that fell on it and remained uneaten.
The birds still throw seed about but all that drops on the patio area is consumed fairly quickly by a huge range of different birds. This means we can also hose down the patio regularly too .
When I appear to fill the feeders each morning the smaller birds begin to chatter in the hedge. The uncle drums are very efficient and we soon see many different types of birds all intent on FOODo

"Almost Too Good" by Fiona Calder

This is a great food that is visibly enjoyed by a wide variety of birds. I use a squirrel buster seed feeder (to confound the bushy tailed rodents) and am amazed at how quickly it empties. Clearly a winning combination.

"Excellent All Round Bird Food" by Mrs T
14 Oct 2015
I've been buying this seed for a couple of years. Whilst I don't get a huge variety of birds in the garden, the seed feeders are so popular with sparrows, tits, chaffinches, goldfinches, and if course starlings - they are such a greedy bunch, but they mess they leave is quickly hoovered up by the blackbirds, collared doves and resident robin.
Yes it costs a bit to keep topping up the feeders but the pleasure it gives us is a fantastic return.

"Wow, better were a hat..!" by Graham Burnett
24 May 2012
Bought this, so as too stop seed germination. And also as added protien for rearing of Young birds. With 2 mins, the garden inherited a colony of Starlings and Sparrows and a Blackbird family. Some weeks on now and they still arrive in their dozens. Excellent seed.

"I don't mind feeding the Starlings" by A Happy Customer
18 Oct 2011
And I do get the smaller birds eating this mix too. I found this on the RSPB website: "Long-term monitoring by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) shows that starling numbers have fallen by 66 per cent in Britain since the mid-1970s. Because of this decline in numbers, the starling is red listed as a bird of high conservation concern" so if this mix helps a bird on the red list that's surely good news?

"An expensive way to feed Starlings" by Ron Galliers
31 May 2011
Undoubtedly good feed, but as soon as it is put out, 30-40 starlings arrive, and disperse any smaller birds. They then eat the bits they want and throw about 25% of the seed on the ground where it just solidifies into a mess on the grass. Have tried putting it inside caged feeders, but none of the small birds will use them. The same happens with the mealworms. Nothing else gets a look in.
